First half of the 20^th cen­tu­ry made by the Dida, Ivory Coast, resist tie-dyed plait­ed raf­fia ker­chief worn for cer­e­mo­ni­al occa­sions as sta­tus cloths and are no longer made. The Dida fish for their liv­ing and made no oth­er art besides these cloths.
