c.1725 Eng­lish needle­point pan­el in wool and silk depict­ing a charm­ing grove of flow­er­ing trees with twist­ed trunks. Below the trees are naive­ly drawn sheep and cows. In the back­ground are typ­i­cal styl­ized hills (hilly­hocks) filled with flow­ers and birds. The needle­work is in excel­lent con­di­tion, with vivid col­ors and some restora­tion to the brown areas. This pan­el may have been a part of a screen or bed hangings.
